What We Offer

I provide specialized intervention in math, reading, and writing for elementary students with learning differences. My teaching approach is based on the Orton Gillingham Approach and the use of Multisensory mathematics to help children who struggle with traditional teaching methods.

Math Intervention

Math intervention provides explicit instruction and multisensory lessons that cater to the unique needs of students with dyscalculia. I believe that math is an interconnected subject, and work to help students understand and make connections between different math concepts. The recommended time for intervention classes to be effective is a minimum of two times per week for 55 minutes each session. Let me help your student achieve their full potential in math.

Reading Intervention

Reading interventions focus on phonics, decoding, and comprehension strategies. I use the Orton-Gillingham approach, which has been proven effective for students with dyslexia who need help with reading and spelling. I use listening and reading comprehension strategies, such as using our imagination to create pictures in our minds. This helps us understand better and think deeply about what we learn. By practicing this skill, we can better remember things, use new words, think critically, and write in response to reading and write our own stories. Imagining what we read makes learning more fun and easier! With my personalized approach, I'll help your child unlock their full potential and reach their academic goals. Writing Intervention

Writing intervention is designed for the specific needs of students with dysgraphia. Classes assist with turning thoughts into written language and build confidence in writing sentences, paragraphs, and essays. I use a combination of the Hochman Method, Handwriting Without Tears, and Learning Without Tears Building Writers programs. The recommended time for intervention classes to be effective is a minimum of two times per week for 55 minutes each session. Contact me today to learn more about the writing intervention program.

Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning classes support students who need extra help with study skills, organizational skills, and homework planning for students with learning differences. A personalized approach tailors each session to the individual's unique needs, ensuring that they have the tools and strategies to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. Let me help you reach your child's academic goals and thrive.
