Intervention for Learning Differences
Where having fun while learning is the priority.

Our Story
I have had the joy of teaching for over a decade in both Public School and Independent School settings in Los Angeles and New York City. Working with students that are managing various learning differences, such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Autism, and other social emotional differences, has made me aware of the need for effective one to one intervention services that are designed for individual needs. I started Intervention for Learning Differences to provide a safe space and opportunity for students to gain confidence and find joy in learning.
My personal teaching philosophy is rooted in play-based learning. I believe that everything can be learned and taught through play. I have found that this approach helps students from ages toddler through to adulthood and it is especially effective for students with Learning Differences. Games of all kinds are interactive and takes the pressure off students who are self-conscious of being wrong or the dreaded reading out-loud fear that most students with learning differences often experience in school classroom settings.
Several students have asked me to turn games they enjoy playing into a reading or a math game as a motivation to be a part of their own learning. Students read out loud and practice math skills willingly throughout the session and they are not aware of how much learning they are engaging in.
I believe that everyone learns best when time is spent creating a connection and trust between a teacher and student. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for each of my students at Intervention for Learning Differences.
